The dynamic of this part of downtown is decidedly different on a weekend morning compared to a weekday lunch. We arrived on the early side, at 9:30 and almost had the place to ourselves. But the food was every bit as good as I remembered, and it was fun to experience their take on breakfast fare. I really enjoyed “The Poachers”, perfectly poached eggs, served with an intriguing stack of prosciutto, hashbrowns and provolone cheese. Mmmm! The coffee was especially good, too.
I can see this being one of those places where I need to work my way through the entire menu. Everything I’ve had so far is fresh, creative and oh-so-tasty. Probably for the best that it’s not closer to home, though I’ve also longed for such just a great neighborhood restaurant. Those folks living in the Eastern Columbia building just a block away sure have it good!
